I'm a little hesitant to show my face around here.
I have spent the last couple days debating.
I hate to even write it....but I'm considering taking an "F" on the NaNoWriMo challenge.
It's hard to admit defeat.
I knew that it was going to be tough. Especially with the pup.
And I've decided to lay most of the blame on him.
To write almost 1700 words a day took me like 3 hours. Interrupted 20 million times by puppy.
If I continue, I think I may loose my mind.
so that's my story.
It's all HIS fault.
It's all HIS fault.
don't feel sorry for him, he deserves this
He is....
The Master Derailer of my Train of Thought.
The Scratch that throws me out of my Groove.
The Wind that blows off my Thinking Cap.
The Fiber that feeds my Brain Farts.
You get the idea.
I've decided to not give up on the novel thing completely.
Writing a novel has always been a secret dream of mine (not so secret anymore-of course). I'm hoping to keep going at my own pace and not worry so much about the word count.
So if any of you NaNoWriMo Flunkies out there want to join a new Novel Writing Group, I'm thinking about forming one. We can make up the rules as we go.
We'll need a name-of course.
And I really missed blogging and all you guys! So I'm back!

Great minds think alike. Melissa (from Mommy's in the Bathroom) and I are forming a group to write one in January.
"The Fiber that feeds my Brain Farts"
That's the best! I KNOW I'll be able to work that one into my daily life A LOT! Do you mind if I use it? I'll give credit where credits due - pinky promise!
Yeah... I've lost my flash drive that had mine on it.
I'm sure it's somewhere, but I'll be damned if I know where that is.
I'll be turning the house over this evening.
Welcome back and look at that puppy face!! Not a failure, a success because you tried!
I'm glad to see you back!! Since I didn't even start a novel this month you can comfort yourself with the thought that you have already exceeded my word count by far :)
i have been wondering where in the hell you have been. forget that dumb novel thingy crap. don't beat yourself up
That's great that you tried! You got farther with your novel writing then what I have. :) Blaming puppy is a good idea too. I LOVE that pic of him w/the reindeer hat!
I think NaNoWriMo is good for people like me who aren't really writers, but for a real writer who has a real dream to write a novel and who really cares about their story, it seems like it would be hard to pump out words just to meet the daily word count. Just from your blog posts it's obvious you have a real gift for writing and I'm sure your novel is going to be great!
Tori, he is the cutest darned reason not to get anything done, I don't blame you! Thanks for the comment today. Need to talk technical stuff with you soon.
Love,Renee
That's OK, you'll still be my bloggy friend!
Cute post! True story, my son JUST bought Nike, design your own sneakers...and guess what..The dog peed in them! YIKES..I wanted to blog about it, maybe I still will.
So I washed them twice and they look good. So you can blame your cute little puppy. Glad to have you back blogging!
Awww but look at his cute little face!
Well, I think you made great strides but I know that pace was a toughie to keep up with. And the puppy, oh my, he is just the cutest little distraction ever!
Selfishly, I'm very glad you're back to the blog!
I don't want to offend anyone who is doing it, but it is really a stupid exercise. You are never going to get a good product if you have to meet a ridiculous deadline!
Ace looks like a perfect excuse to me. I have a secret dream of writing a book, too but I'm not a quitter. I just won't commit to starting :) Welcome back!
I think the puppy is a great excuse! And good for you for trying.
I'd like to be in the group too so keep me posted. As long as I don't have to let you read it. Because it sucks. But I already told you that. But I'm going to think positive about it. Starting.... NOW. No, not yet. NOW.
