Ace and I have been spending lots of time at the dog park.
He loves going.
I love him not destroying my house.
I thought I'd bring my camera yesterday and take some pictures of all the different dogs.
I'm always amazed at the variety of breeds.
And it's always kind of fun trying to guess what breed a dog is before you talk to it's owner.
But yesterday was a beautiful day and there weren't many dogs there.
Everyone was probably home doing yard work (which is what I should have been doing).
Aces favorite thing to do at the dog park is find another "puppy" that likes to wrestle.
This Shar-pei, named Zeus, was the same age as Ace and he decided to give it a try.
Zeus didn't have the stamina that Ace has so he quickly came up with a game plan.
When he needed a break he would go hide under the picnic table...
then after he was rested uphe would run as fast as he could and throw all his weight at Ace
and he would go for the jugular.
and he would go for the jugular.
But Ace quickly found Zeus' weak areas too.
All those extra rolls of skin were definitely Zeus' downfall.

ha. sounds like a fun day!
Looks like everybody had a good time and got out lots of energy too!
The last time I took my dog (a pug) to the dog park, a Great Dane peed on my leg while I was sitting on the bench! I kid you not. And Poor Pitiful Pearl (the pug) spent the entire time trying to run away from all the dogs who just wanted to slobber all over her. When I got home both of us needed a bath. Never again. Glad you two had fun, though!
Sure did look like a fun day out. I think that was probably WAY better than raking leaves.
Haha I lubs doggy pics. My dog is decidedly unsociable and convinced she is not a dog.
That looks like so much fun for Ace. Junie would love it, but I don't know of any dog parks around here. Do you?
The jugular picture looks a little scary for Ace. I'm glad that he found Zeus's weak spot.
Have fun with your new best friend/child,
Joyce
Wishing we had a dog park here, maybe Max would stop ripping holes in bedding! Have a great day!
I know when dogs do that they're just playing but that growling that accompanies it always freaks me out! Can you tell I don't have a dog?! ;)
It's so cute that you captured all this playfulness...and that yardwork, well, it'll be there all summer, right?
