magpie 10 watch

Go HERE for more Magpie Tales
**sorry my spacing is messing up. I have no idea why I can't fix this**
Watch Me
Watch me Mommy!
Her brow scrunched in concentration
as she knots the bunny ears of her laces.
There's hope in her eyes when she turns to me
that I will be amazed by her talent
and I am.
Watch me Mom!
I hold my breath, forcing myself to not cover my eyes.
His bike wobbles for a moment
but his grin never does.
When he stops he waits for my cheers
and I do.
Watch me Mom!
She twirls in the pink leotard
she so carefully picked out.
The cartwheel she turns are followed by a
proud "ta-da"
Her eyes find mine in the crowd to see my pride
and I am.
Watch me Mom!
He jumps on the trampoline
double back flips.
My last child to ask for my attention and praise.
I realize I need to savor these moments
and I do.

Oh, how I miss those "watch me's". Do savor them. They're gone all too soon.

Beautiful Tori - you make me feel wistful for when my twenty-somethings were little girls. Time is precious.

(PS - your spacing looks fine to me, but it may be happening because you're writing your blog post in a program like Word, which puts all kinds of hidden code into it. If that's the case, copy the finished piece onto Notepad (usually in your accessories folder) which will turn it to plain text and all the code will be removed. Adjust spacing and lines, then copy into your blog, where you can further format it to look the way you want.)

Your piece reminds me of how fast those years flew past for me. My baby turned 26 this year. Whew, I can't believe it!

Lovely, you captured the essence of standing in the middle of a rainbow and hearing laughter in a seashell.

Just for a day I would love to go back to the days when all four of my children were just that ~ wonderful, happy, energy-filled children. thank you for this .......

I remember those days! I would watch the same thing over and over again until I thought I would go crazy! Would I go back and do it all again? Oh yes.

It must be tough on a mother when the "Watch me Mommy's" run out.
