attention starved puppy

It's been a really great holiday spending time with my kids.

It's also been a really long holiday trying to spend time with my kids and keep up with the pup.

I've figured out that he doesn't like it when I'm not giving him 100% of my attention.

Last week he did this while I was making sandwiches at 6:30 in the morning (it took 2 seconds I swear!)

Then he's been busy doing this.....

It seems Nae has a hard time remembering to close doors so we've had this scene played out multiple times the last couple of days.

But this is what really made me mad. The pup did this while I was playing a game of Bananagrams with the kids. He chewed the Christmas lights.

He also chewed the tassels off my pretty tree skirt, peed in the house too many times to count, and learned how to go down the basement stairs and ate cat poo out of the litter box.

Yum.

Puppy for sale....

OMG, I hate to say it, but I laughed at my computer and said "OH MY GOD" when I saw your tree!
That is too funny, for me anyways!
You have to take the puppy out every 20 minutes or so to the same spot if you want to potty train him and the cat poop can cause huge vet bills. I hate that when I see my dogs eat the cat litter. The little will clump in his little tummy and not come out! OK, enough of the lecture!

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

Hi again,
I have a correction...not little, I meant litter will clump in his little tummy...
This is why I could never write a book. LOL

It's harder to get through a puppyhood than it is to get through a toddlerhood. Hang in there and hide your shoes for another ten months!

Was that your wall in the first picture???? That dog would be a distant memory if that were my wall!

Wow, you are very tolerant.

You poor thing... we're been through all of the above, except the hole in my wall was mammoth...and a real hole...right through to the other side!!!!
Our dogs ate their own poo and the vet suggested something to put in their food to make it taste bad...uhhh what the heck could taste worse than poo???? LOL!!!
Hang in there, have you tried crate training? Worked like a charm for me and I would take treats with me to give them when they peed outside. Mine are now around three years old and it's great sooo only about two and a half years to go and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about!!! Hugs and kisses!!!

OMG...I'm sorry, I know I'd be pissed if that were my pet, but I was laughing so hard! I'm sorry puppy is being so bad! :(

Ahhh okay you've convinced me to get a small tree this year for a tabletop, lol.

Over our holiday the dog peed on the boys bedroom floor...only no one happened to mention this to me. So after the step kids left and I helped the other boys clean I discovered it. Took hours to shampoo the smell out.

When the dogs get into the litter box we call that kitty roca! (like almond roca, get it?) I got one of those boda boxes (looks like a little igloo) because Ginger and Sassy are too big to get in there. Probably wouldn't work with a little pup, tho.
Sassy chewed a huge hole in the wall when we first had her, and she was 9 months old by then!
Hang in there!
